AV Image Challenge – Presentation Evening – tonight we review the AV’s submitted by club members. Members were challenged to create a short AV (pictures to exe style show) to tell a story via a sequence of choreographed images and background music or soundtrack.

Our fourth Internal Competition – Open PDI
This meeting will be held at Gawsworth Village Hall

David duChemin: ‘The Heart of the Photograph’. In this video presentation David walks us through techniques and ways of thinking about the creation of images designed to engage human imagination and emotion, and creating images that are more than just visual but visceral. He discusses vision and intent, the use of space and time, the creation of depth, creative point of view, and other tools and ideas for making photographs that are more than just “of” something but about something more, something we can feel and experience more deeply.

Members Image Critique Evening 2 – This evening we review members images submitted anonymously. We have a panel of three established club photographers to provide feedback on images and we can all provide additional input for a rounded perspective. Put yourself in the judging seat and appraise fellow members images in a constructive manner highlighting the attributes and noting any areas for improvement. In this session we aim to review the images impartially and constructively in order to learn from other members techniques, composition and photographic styles
