Joining Macclesfield Camera Club
If you’d like to join Macclesfield Camera Club, or even if you’re contemplating membership, here is a little information that may help you make up your mind.
Maybe you’d like to enjoy the social environment of the club, go on photographic trips or perhaps you’d like to learn how to improve your pictures or even enter competitions. Maybe you would like to learn about specific techniques or how to use a particular piece of kit or software. Whatever your motive, there is someone at the club who can help you meet your aspirations. The membership is a mixed group with all levels of ability, from amateurs to full-time professional photographers, all of whom are very approachable and eager to help.
Meetings take place in Macclesfield library on Monday evenings from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. You’re welcome to come to your first couple of meetings for free, but do make sure there is a meeting on when you plan to come. You can see the club schedule here, and directions to find us here.
Being a member has benefits beyond the immediate club environment too. Macclesfield Camera Club is part of the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU) and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). This gives club members access to competitions, knowledgeable speakers and insurance when participating in club events to name a few.
So if you would like to learn how to use your camera, show others how to use theirs, or if you’d like to work towards a formal accreditation, come along to one of our meetings to learn more. If you fill in the form below and we will get back to you as soon as we can. (there’s no obligation to join and we will not under any circumstances share your details).
