High Peak Trophy 2023

On Monday 23rd October we entered the High Peak Trophy which was hosted by Bramhall Photographic Society, so a big thank you to them, especially for the lovely home cooked scones. After the relative success of the Robert Shaw Trophy the previous external competition it was back down to earth for the club where we didn’t fair as well. Some interesting images on the evening but a big thank you to all those who submitted images.

External Competition Season Starts

It has been a hectic few weeks getting ready for external competition season. As ever we don’t get far into the season before we have to start pulling together various entries for our external competitions. We have two competitions on the go: The Robert Shaw and High Peak Trophies. The Robert Shaw was first up on Thursday 12th October and hosted by Leek Photographic Society. We had to whittle 120 images down to 12 with a maximum of 3 images per photographer. It was all a bit last minute but we were able to pull together a competitive entry and narrowly missed out to our hosts Leek, a simple matter of 3 points between the top 2 clubs, but congratulations to Leek for their superb entry. .

So well done to all those who submitted images. But ! a special well down to Alex White who, even though the club didn’t win on the night, had the top image across all the clubs’ images. .
